Planting a Garden with My Family - Writing Prompt

Planting a Garden with My Family is a two-part writing and drawing prompt that lets students reflect on the joy (and sometimes chaos) of planting a garden with their loved ones. Whether it’s tomatoes, tulips, or just a determined dandelion, students will write about the experience of working together to help something grow.

In the first part, students write about what they’d plant, who would help (there’s always one relative who thinks they’re the garden expert), and how this little green space helps the Earth. In the second part, they draw their garden, pets sneaking in, little siblings watering the weeds, and all!
