This friendly designed worksheet is suitable for students at school, homeschooling, and as a group activity.

Instructions

1. Add 2 cups of cornstarch to the bowl, then add 1 cup of water and stir everything.

2. After combining the mixture, add 1 cup of sand and stir.

3. Now that your quicksand is ready, drop the toy animals in the quicksand and watch them slowly sink.

4. Write down notes on your experiment, could you rescue the animals from sinking? How quickly did they sink? And how does the quicksand feel?
