QR Codes are great for;
Independent work, Center activities, Group rotations, Spiral review, Front-loading concepts that are being taught next, Fast or early finishers, Home learning activities, and more.
Preparation
To prepare the QR Codes for use, you can print them on paper and laminate or print them onto thin card. Ring holders work well to hold the QR Codes together, simply cut out around the outline and punch a hole in the top corner. You may notice that each different concept being taught has its own coloured border. This will assist you if the QR Codes get mixed up.
Tips for the Classroom
QR Codes are a great center activity as students can use them independently. Select the appropriate skill being taught, reviewed, or front loaded and leave those cards out for students.
Cutting the QR Code cards out will allow students to scan the code they want (sometimes, if kept as an A4 sheet, it is hard for students to isolate 1 specific QR Code.
These QR Codes work with any device that has a QR Code reader (most camera apps on devices also have one inbuilt in now).
QR Code links do break from time to time. This resource will be updated regularly to check for broken links.
