Treble Music Clef Lines and Spaces in English and Spanish
About This Product
I developed this set of line and space rhymes for learning the treble staff with the help of my dual language classes in my elementary music class.
Around the world, most Spanish language countries use Solfege to teach reading of music. Solfege is a system of syllables assigned to each line or space: Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Ti, Do.
In my career teaching in the United States, I only every used a rhyme to memorize the names. When I started teaching at a dual language school, I felt I needed ONE more way to make the connection between “letter” name and the equivalent sound on an instrument.
Using one more tool to teach the names of the lines and spaces helped bridge the learning and memorization,
Happy Teaching!
