About this resource
Prepare five Algebra 1 substitute lessons covering expressions and order of operations, linear equations, linear functions and slope, systems of equations, and exponents and polynomials.
Each day has two student pages with a worked example, practice, a checking activity, a find-the-mistake prompt and an early-finisher challenge. Checking formats include answer paths, decoders and matching. Ask students to show their calculations and use the teacher keys to resolve uncertain answers.
The 17-page PDF contains a substitute run sheet, ten student pages, an answer-key divider and five daily keys. Each day can be assigned separately. Print the selected pages before class.
