Prefixes and Suffixes Root Words Worksheet

Prefixes and Suffixes Root Words Worksheet
, Not Grade Specific,

Ten words provide repeated morphology practice. For each one, learners underline the added prefix or suffix and write the root that remains. The two actions require them to separate a meaningful base from material attached at the beginning or end. A companion morphology sheet shows the completed separations for use after independent work and keeps attention on word structure rather than definitions alone.

Prefixes and Suffixes Worksheet

Each context contains one word whose beginning or ending changes its meaning. Two short paraphrases appear below the sentence, and learners select the interpretation supported by affix knowledge and context. The set covers ideas such as before, again, reversal, absence, and fullness without requiring dictionary definitions. The affix-checking reference provides the intended choices after students have identified the meaningful word part and tested it in the sentence.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Worksheet

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Worksheet

The learner begins with pictured items on page one and identifies which can be used again for another purpose. Selected images are cut out and pasted onto the second page, distinguishing reuse from disposal or material recycling. Page three is explicitly labelled as the completed key and names the intended reusable choices. The physical sort can prompt explanation of a possible second use, although the worksheet itself requests classification rather than a written redesign plan.

Traffic Light Feelings – SEL Self-Regulation Lesson

Traffic Light Feelings – SEL Self-Regulation Lesson
, Not Grade Specific,

In this 7-slide Google Slides Lesson Presentation, students will learn about the Traffic Light Feelings. This is a self-regulation tool that helps students identify when they are being unsafe, have a big emotion, and need to stop. Red feelings are feelings that are BIG such as really angry, scared, unsafe, or out of control. Students will learn the phrase STOP, SLOW AND GO strategy. The yellow light represents feelings that are silly, excited, worried, stressed, or frustrated. The green light represents feelings that are good for class, with peers in the class or when they need to focus on a task. There is a sorting activity with 18 sorting cards. Some of the scenarios on the cards are; kids who are too excited and silly with their parent, a child who is very upset and visibly crying, 2 kids arguing, 2 kids fighting, a child who is calm, a child who is reading, a child who is proud about graduating, a child who is raising their hand, a child in their own personal space bubble, a child who is frustrated about breaking a toy, a child who is thinking, a child who is running from a crocodile, children who are jumping in excitement, a child scared about talking in front of an audience, etc. First, you can show the 7 slide presentation with animations throughout the presentation. Next, the students will work in partners/group to do the sorting activity. They will get a sorting sheet and 18 cards. Print off a sorting sheet and 18 cards for each partnership/group. Lastly, invite students back at their own desk to colour in their traffic light colouring sheet and think of the different feelings represented in each light. There are 7 slides in the presentation for the class and there are 5 slides that contain the sorting activity, sorting cards, and colouring sheet. Unit Lesson Plan Template

Unit Lesson Plan Template
, Not Grade Specific,

Unit Lesson Plan organises a themed sequence into three parallel planning strands. For each objective, the teacher can name an instructional activity and the assessment that will show whether the goal was met. Keeping objectives, learning experiences, and checks for understanding visibly aligned helps expose gaps before instruction begins. The single-page overview is useful for sketching a short unit, comparing the balance of its components, or discussing the plan with a teaching partner before creating daily lesson details.
