Model how a tree ends when every branch reaches a prime number. Encourage students to check their result by multiplying the prime factors back together.
Curriculum reference — Ontario: Prime decomposition requires its own grade decision rather than the original Grades4–6 range. Ontario Grade6 explicitly includes prime-factor trees. Selected skills only; reference stage is not an overall reading age, complete curriculum coverage, or an automatic recommendation for every learner.
