Sight Word Fluency Packet - long - These sight word worksheets encourage all students to practice sight word reading fluency for the target sight word. There are three different fluency practice pages that all focus on learning to recognize, spell, and read the target sight word in context. Allowing students to practice the sight word in context gives students the ability to connect the sight word's meaning and grammatical usage to help gain a greater understanding of the target word. Each passage repeats the target word multiple times for extra practice with the word. Students will practice reading, writing, reading comprehension, and spelling high frequency words with these fluency pages. Within the pages of this product, you’ll find an interactive reader that will take your learners on an adventure with Tom and Bob. As they read through the book, not only will they strengthen their skills in identifying “short o” words, but they’ll also have the opportunity to make the book their very own. On each page are a set of instructions for readers to color or draw added features to the story. This helps them practice reading color words and identify prepositions. Best of all, they’ll be given a sense of ownership into their learning, causing them to be excited and engaged. Most words in the book are CVC words. An added challenge of reading “blends”is also included. Once your learners have reached the end of the book, they can move on to answer comprehension questions and work on other phonics focused material. Two hands-on learning games are included also. Upon completion of the worksheets and activities, you can present your learners with a crown that they can proudly wear to show others the ELA skills they’ve learned. To save you time, the worksheets in this product are print and go. With minor prep work, the learning activities can be used multiple times, year over year. An answer key is provided also.
