I always love to haveeasy writing frames and ideas available to use quickly as needed. Put the cards in a basket and pull them out to use as a quick time filler and chat about kindness! Theseready to print and use writing frames,task cards and smaller sheets can be run off ahead of time and used any time of the year since kindness is a topic that supports learners socially and emotionally everyday withdeveloping positive character traits. The puns at the top of each page can easily be used as is by simply asking why to you feel this way? For example:One pun is: an image with a donut with the words: “Do-nut” Stop Spreading Kindness Everyday. You can simply ask your students, “Why do think it is important to spread kindness everyday?” These are not grade specific but would work best withfirst through fourth gradesdepending on the level of your learners. Valentine’s Day is a great time to use these and perhaps create a mini unit about kindness incorporating these frames and task cards. All writing frames have apun on the top in reference to kindness and space to write an open-ended response. Here is what is included: 19 frames using puns with fruits, vegetables, food, animals, a cactus, number 8 and one with a sun to motivate writing about kindness in a fun way. All the frames are Black and White with lines for writing! This resource is a comprehensive lesson that uses 20 bird-related vocabulary words. First off, you can introduce these words by using the PDF -based presentation. With the arrow keys, you just move from one word to another to make your students familiar with them. Next, You can hand out the vocabulary lists. Beware that these are made with color, so in order to be eco-friendly you might want to use black and white ink. Once the students have taken these lists home, they can do the vocabulary test in their next class. They can practice with the words by utilizing the included flash cards. These just need to be printed, laminated, and cut. Beware of sharp edges though. You can use the curved edges version to avoid annoying pinches. Finally, use the Wacky Words activity to have a really good time in class. With this, all the letters are mixed up. Students love this.
