When you are introducing new styles of writing to your students, you want to ensure you find quality writing resources to support their learning. This is an Opinion Writing Packet that uses the TREE Format. The TREE format consists of the following acronym: Topic - What opinion are you going to share? Reason - Why is this your opinion? (The students will give three reasons) Example - Support each reason with a personal example. End - Sum it up with an ending statement. This is great for 2nd – 4th grade students. Included in this file you will find 5 opinion paragraph writing workshops along with some blank templates so you can choose your own topics. Students will opine about holidays, food, music, movies, and pets. Ideas for introducing the workshops: • Make lists of possible holidays, foods, music, movies, and pets to give the kids ideas • Show pictures and/or play music related to each topic to get the kids thinking about what their opinions might be • Allow students time to discuss their opinions with their classmates. This really gets their brains thinking specifically about their opinions and reasons for their opinions • Share ideas as a class about possible opinions. Some students struggle to come up with their own ideas, and this might help guide them to their own opinions These workshops are 1-2 day projects – about 60-70 minutes total, depending on how much practice your students already have with writing opinions and how you decide to introduce the topics. What You Get: This is an Odd or Even Worksheet Set 3that was designed for elementary students who are working on or have mastered this skill. It also works well as a review for students. There are 2 separate PDFs included. How To Implement This Resource: You can print off enough copies of these worksheets for each student to have. You may also choose to print only a few copies and laminate those. If you choose to laminate them, students can use dry erase markers to solve the problems. This is a great activity to place into a math center or small group activity. On one worksheet, students will write the next number in the sequence for 2-digit numbers. If you are looking to practice Fry's sight words, then this is without a doubt the resource for you and your students. In this resource, Fry's Fifth 100 Sight words are all featured. First of all, this set consists of a bunch of flash cards. These cards come in different styles, colored and with or without sharp edges. Just choose the set that is right for you. Then Print, laminate, and cut the cards as you please. The next way to practice these sight words is with the vocabulary lists. There is one that shows all of these words in alphabetical order, while the other list shows each word in order of frequency. And then there is the fill in the blaks worksheet. With this you can really test your students to see if they remembered all of the words and their usage. Finally, use the word search to practice these words in a more fun way. Have fun!

Help your primary students practice counting and skip counting as they develop their number sense and numerical fluency. These fun printables offer excellent fine motor practice for junior students. They could also be implemented as a precursor to multiplication and times table learning. They help students see patterns and relationships when skip counting. How to Use: Provide your students with dot markers (bingo markers). The student begins at zero and places dots in each circle as they count or skip count aloud. Extensions: Encourage your students to look for any numerical patterns: For example, "What is the first number on each worksheet?" "What do you observe about the last number? How is it related to the first number?" "Are there patterns when you look at odd and even numbers?" "What do you see in the ones spot when you count by 5s?" "If you look at the same place on each page, do you see a pattern?" Grades to Use With: These pages could be used by students in preschool to grade 3 depending on how you implement them.
