Adding Like and Unlike Fractions TASK CARDS

Do your upper elementary school learners need a fun activity to correspond with their math curriculum? This set of 20 task cards is the perfect addition to their lessons about adding fractions. As they work through each card, they’ll practice skills in adding like and unlike fractions in different formats. Four unique card designs will have your learners solving equations in word format, using models to solve equations, adding fractions in number format, and solving word problems that include addition of fractions. Upon finding the answer to each equation, learners will use their skills in simplifying fractions. Each fraction model is kid-friendly and includes delicious desserts anyone is sure to love. Answer recording sheets are included (2 to a page). This will reduce the amount of ink or number of copies you need to make. After the initial minimal amount of prep work to make the cards durable, you can use them year after year.
