It makes a great addition to your Black History Month unit study, writing lessons or centers, or social studies or history class. Perfect for second grade, third grade, and fourth grade classrooms, homeschool families, and cooperatives.
After printing the cards, each student should pick or be assigned 2 historical figures to research. (There are 190 unique combinations of the 20 historical figures.) Research can be done individually or in small groups. Based on their findings, students should present their opinion in response to the assigned writing prompt. This can be done orally or using the included graphic organizers.
