Converting Units of Length Task Cards and Power Point Slides

Are your 5th graders or 6th graders learning how to convert units of length? If so, then this is definitely a product to add to your math curriculum. This set of 20 task cards is a great way for your upper elementary learners to practice and/or review the concepts you’ve been teaching in this subject. As they may their way through the questions presented on each card, learners will strengthen their skills in converting millimeters, centimeters, inches, feet, yards, and miles. Four different question styles add variety to the task cards and include fill-in the blank, multiple choice, direct question and answer, and real-world scenario word problems. Task cards are gaining in popularity across several educational platforms. Their versatility will add to your educational practices all allow learning to take place indoors or outdoors. They can also be used in large or small group settings. This product in particular includes a corresponding set of PowerPoint slides, perfect for whole class learning. Each of the 20 slides is a larger version of the individual task cards. This allows your learners to focus on one card at a time and provides you with the ability to assess how they are comprehending the concepts presented. Also included with this product is a visual guide to help your learners. The guide provides basic information about converting units of length, which your learners can then use while solving the problems on each task card.  While the task cards are presented in two formats (color and black & white), the PowerPoint slides are in full color. The answer recording sheets come 2 to a page to reduce the number of copies made and/or printer ink used. You’ll find an answer key also included in this product.
