About this resource

What's inside this resource

Georgia 2nd grade classrooms get an August–May curriculum map for ELA, math, science and social studies, with ten monthly plans per subject. Each plan names the focus, a learning sequence and the evidence to collect. Social studies follows Georgia topics, including the state's places, Muscogee and Cherokee histories, Georgia's founding, Sequoyah and civil rights leadership. Math works through place value, strategies, arrays, measurement, clocks and coins; science covers heating and cooling, motion, stars, the sun and moon, and plant life cycles.

Two pages lay out a foundations progression for reading and spelling, from long vowels and final e through two-syllable words. The Excel workbook has eight sheets: Year Map, Unit Plans, Coverage Audit, Component Review, Foundations, Ongoing Skills, Local Review and a Source Register with the Georgia framework dates. The 14-page PDF is a printable copy of the full year.

  • Grade 2, Georgia: four subjects in 40 monthly plans, plus a reading and spelling foundations sequence
  • 14 PDF pages: calendar, two pages per subject, two foundations pages, inventory, routines, and versions and local review
  • Three files: a full-color PDF, a print-friendly black and white PDF and an editable Excel workbook (.xlsx) you can adapt
