Build a car
Cut out the rectangles, cut on the dotted lines, laminate for regular use,
Lay pieces on the table and let children choose a front (onset) and a back (rime) of a car, put the car together and read the word that has been made. If it is a real word, it should be recorded on the recording sheet. Any names that are made should be written correctly with a capital letter. Rhyming words can be found.
On the Road Tracks:
Each child will need a small car. Simply take the car along the track and let the child sound out, and then read, each word as it is met.
