Daily Grammar Entrance Cards

Daily Grammar Entrance Cards is a formative assessment resource for high school English teachers to use at the start of each class. As students enter the classroom, the teacher asks them grammar questions from the deck of cards. If a student answers correctly, they may enter the room. If unsure, they join the back of the line to try again after reviewing notes or asking peers. This motivates students to continuously review grammar skills. It also allows the teacher to informally assess student understanding. Cards cover a variety of grammar topics. Questions test students' ability to define terms or provide examples. This resource facilitates whole class participation, peer teaching, and differentiated review based on individual needs.
