About This Product
Leaping into Language Arts Grade 2 offers a complete year of language instruction covering first-grade Common Core ELA Standards. Each section has its own review of the skills taught. There is an Answer Key at the end of the book.
Designed for any type of instruction from remedial to enrichment, and easily used by individuals, small groups, or the entire class in regular and special education, ESL, gifted/talented, and homeschool programs, the resource is well worth the look!
What’s more? It is also perfect for brushing up on grade-level skills.
Let me share with you how the book is organized.
At the top of each new topic page, there is a carefully crafted lesson. The lesson is introduced in bite-size kernels of knowledge with kid-friendly examples. Practice exercises follow the lesson. Each lesson in the section builds on the previous lesson(s).
The student has an opportunity to show what they have learned in the Review at the end of each section. The Review has a simple explanation at the top of the page comprised of key concepts taught within that section. Then there are questions ranging from multiple choice to fill-in-the-blank and extended expression to assess learning.
Leaping into Language Arts Grade 2’s targeted sequential lessons not only help to build language learning one skill at a time but also increase the child’s confidence. As the students proceed through the topics, mastery is ensured. They take a leap in learning!
