Product description

From the author

Use these illustrated Spanish labels and posters for classroom vocabulary practice. The 140-page PDF covers occupations, shapes, rules, numbers 0–20, letters, classroom objects, calendar language, jobs, weather, holidays, birthdays and feelings.

Print selected cards on cardstock and laminate if desired. Post them at a visible height, introduce a themed group aloud, and rotate the display as topics change. Cards can also support a reading-and-writing station with paper and pencils.

The download includes calendar material. The existing related classroom labels link offers another classroom display option.

Teaching tips & learning objectives

Learning objectives

  • Students read and recognize Spanish vocabulary words for everyday classroom objects, days, months, weather, and emotions from posted labels.

  • Students associate illustrated classroom objects with their Spanish names.

  • Students practice using calendar language (days, months, today/yesterday/tomorrow) as part of a daily classroom routine.

Teaching tips

  • Print on cardstock and laminate for durability, as recommended in the file's own setup instructions (page 2).

  • Use a projector to introduce a themed set of cards to the whole class and practice the vocabulary together before posting them (page 2).

  • Set up a rotating station with the cards plus paper, pencils, and colors so students can read and write the target Spanish vocabulary independently (page 2).

Skills covered

  • Spanish vocabulary recognition — students read Spanish labels for classroom objects, days, months, and weather posted around the room (pages 55-78).

  • Calendar language — students use Spanish terms for today, yesterday, tomorrow, and the days of the week as part of a daily routine (pages 69-73).

  • Emotion vocabulary — students identify and name feelings in Spanish, e.g. 'Estoy triste,' 'Tengo frío' (pages 98-111).

Questions teachers ask about this resource

How is this material meant to be displayed?

The file's own instructions recommend printing on cardstock, laminating for durability, and posting only the current unit's labels at a time rather than the full set at once, to avoid overwhelming wall space.

Can students use the labels as more than wall decor?

Yes — the file's instructions describe setting up a station where students read and copy the Spanish vocabulary onto paper, so the same cards can support independent practice, not just display.
