French: Dots and Boxes- Halloween- Game is a specially designed educational tool that improves French vocabulary through the method of engaging game play. This resource comprises of two PDF files that cater to different proficiency levels.

• The first file, signified by one flag, has 12 thematic keywords relating to Halloween such as 'une citrouille' (pumpkin), 'un fantôme' (ghost), 'des bonbons' (candy) and so forth which are perfect for beginner students learning the language.
• The second level indicated by two flags includes an extended list of 20 words featuring difficult ones like ‘hanté’ (haunted), ‘un chaudron’(cauldron) etc., suitable for those at a more advanced stage in their French studies.

To make this activity reusable it would be wise to laminate them after printing on both sides - this allows pupils to reuse them multiple times over without causing waste.

The objective behind this dots-and-boxes themed game is simple yet engaging; Players take turns drawing lines between dots while simultaneously translating the word according to their preferred direction – either from French-to-English or vice-versa. When successfully enclosing a box using mutual translations; players can mark it with a cross in their chosen colour. The player who achieves the most crosses after rounds of enjoyable learning emerges victorious!
