Ionic and Molecular / Covalent Bonding Lab

The physical properties of a substance such as appearance, melting point, solubility in water, and conductivity of a dissolved solution tell us a lot about the type of particles in a compound. In this experiment, students will conduct tests on the physical properties of different compounds and compile data enabling them to classify the compounds as ionic or covalent (molecular).
