Learning with Word Tiles - A Guide to Hands-On Literacy

Use word tiles to build fluent reading skills. Use language frames to build upon beginning level words. Students will master nouns, verbs, adjectives, and prepositions. Using word tiles, students will be able to build different phrases, sentence and poems. By replacing one tile with another, students will learn how to manipulate language. Build sentences with descriptive adjectives, prepositional phrases, action verbs, punctuation, and capitalization.
