About This Product
This is a Middle School 201: More Tips for Teachers eBook.
Even though this book is a continuation of Middle School 101, there are some teaching tips that have been updated in Middle School 201. In general, this new set of tips are designed for teachers with more experience than in Middle School 101.
In fact, Middle School 201 includes advice for teachers to support brand new teachers! As stated in Middle School 101, most teachers have learned from other teachers, and [great teachers] continue to learn. The goal of this book is to continue to do just that.
I wish to help you expand your middle school teaching repertoire. Middle School is a unique part of K-12 education. Students enter in the 6th grade as children and leave after completing the 8th grade as young adults.
No matter what grade level you teach, Middle School 201, More Tips for Teachers, offers a compilation of techniques that have worked for the author over the years for himself, while supporting new teachers.
Please Note: To avoid the overuse of “he/she, him/her, his/her,” I am going to assume all character are male, and use “he, him, his.” However, these tips apply to females as well.
Teaching is difficult, especially middle school. An outsider would not believe that not all students follow directions, the degree of defiance, some difficult issues that some students have to deal with, and the overall middle school behavior. However, teaching is rewarding when students get an “ah-ha” moment, or when a student says: “Oh, now I get it!” We all have tough days, but there are those great days that make it worthwhile. Continue to touch the future.
