National Haiku Poetry Day Word Scramble Worksheet

I made this word scramble for my 3rd graders last April when we celebrated National Haiku Poetry Day. It's a simple 2-page PDF with 24 scrambled poetry terms that get kids excited about writing haikus - words like "syllable," "nature," and "season."

The activity includes:

• Common haiku words ("cherry," "moon," "frog")

• Poetry terms ("five," "seven," "rhythm")

• Japanese culture words ("haiku," "Basho")
