Proportional Relationships (for 8th Grade) NOTES & PRACTICE
About This Product
This resource was developed to meet the requirements of the 8th Grade Expressions & Equations Standards below:
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.EE.B.5
Graph proportional relationships, interpreting the unit rate as the slope of the graph. Compare two different proportional relationships represented in different ways. For example, compare a distance-time graph to a distance-time equation to determine which of two moving objects has greater speed.
Pre-Requisites: Students should already have a general understanding of how to write an equation from a verbal description, how to test for proportionality between any two ratios, and how to graph coordinates.
PLEASE NOTE: This lesson was made to build off of the extensive work done in 7th grade on proportional relationships and would not be thorough enough for a classroom that is taking the 7th grade state test.
