Recycled Treasure - Writing Prompt

The Magic Trash That Turned into Treasure is a two-part writing and drawing prompt where students imagine a piece of trash that turns into something totally unexpected, and totally awesome. Maybe it becomes a rocket ship, a superhero sidekick, or even a musical instrument made of banana peels. (Hey, anything’s possible in the recycling world.)

First, students write a short story about the magical transformation, what the trash was, what it turned into, and how it made the world just a little bit better (or weirder). Then, they draw their creation in all its upcycled glory. Expect plenty of wild inventions and even wilder imaginations.
