About This Product

Are you teaching about the Declaration of Independence in your classroom? Here is an activity to help bring it alive to your students. This play will take about 20-25 minutes depending on how you present or use it in your classroom.

It is a great lesson enhancer! Students love to be moving around and engaged in class activities. This is perfect for that because all students may be involved if you choose! Have fun debriefing the play after you finish it with your students. They will have some good questions!

I've also included a Declaration of Independence (DOI) activity. This activity "breaks down" the DOI - the five sections (The Preamble - Reasons for the Separation, the Rights of the People, the Tyrannical Acts of the King or List of Grievances, the Attempts at Reconciliation, and the declaration of being free and independent states!) The activity can take around 20-25 minutes, as well.

Both of these activities will help you bring the Declaration of Independence alive in your classroom! Enjoy and if you have the time, please let me know how it worked for you!
