This is an Age of Exploration Lesson Plan.

Objectives for this lesson include:

• - The student will identify Behaim’s “Earth Apple” as an early globe dating to 1492.

• - The student will summarize what educated Europeans thought of the world in the late 15th century.

• - The student will create a replica of Behaim’s globe.

You will receive a detailed lesson and a 3-slide PowerPoint to accompany it.

Students will get to show what they know through a craft and summarizing.
