The Mist ch 4 Suspense Element: Perilous Situation Analysis Activity + Rubric

The Perilous Situation Character Reaction Prediction Activity for The Mist by Stephen King provides educators with a partner activity to analyze the suspense elements in chapter 4. Students will closely read the diction describing the ominous mist and emerging tentacles to make inferences about the peril the characters face. Partners will then make reasoned predictions on how protagonists such as David, Billy, and the group at the grocery store will emotionally and behaviorally react to this dangerous scenario.
