Narrative & Nonfiction Details: Students will read the text from the story and label the details as either narrative or nonfiction.
The Life of an Eel: Students will identify the stage of the eel's life, draw a picture, and include details from the story that describe each stage of the eel's life.
Author's Message: Students will describe four important events from the story in chronological order in the boxes on the timeline below. Then answer the questions about the author's message.
Thinking About the Text: Students will answer the questions about the story & include examples from the text to support their answers.
Before & After: Students will draw before and after pictures of the eel and explain their illustrations.
Life Cycle: Students will illustrate each stage of the life cycle of the eel.
