Trace-A-Story Handwriting Practice
About This Product
These classic stories are a fun way to practice printing and handwriting. Put together booklets for them to trace and then illustrate their own book. What better way to allow your students to practice their handwriting than to give them something they want to write and read?!? This is fantastic resource to have on hand for your emerging writers. This resource is ideal for Kindergarten – 2nd grade students.
How To Use This:
Use these 6 story templates to help your students practice their printing. Each story has a cover page and a story with the story to trace on guided handwriting lines. Your students will enjoy practicing their handwriting while creating a story to share with others. Students will also get to add their own illustration to each page to practice text to picture connection. Staple all the pages together and have your students share their books with their fellow students and family.
This product can be used independently. It may be something you decide to allow students to work on as an early finisher activity. It would also be beneficial to save these pages for writing or reading centers. Whether they are working in small groups with you or with classmates, encourage them to use their best handwriting!
