Unions Simulation (An engaging way to teach Industrialization and Urbanization)

The Unions Simulation is an engaging 21-page teaching resource that allows students to simulate the tense relationships that existed between union leaders and company leaders during the Industrialization and Urbanization of America. Through guided slides, a warm-up activity, goal statement, agenda, mini-lecture slides, and an immersive in-class simulation with directions, students take on roles of both workers and managers in the early 20th century labor movement. An exit ticket assignment is also included to assess student understanding. This fun and interactive game is an impactful way for educators to cover key aspects of this important era in American history across grades 7-12.
