Writing Attitude Survey

Do you need a back-to-school activity that allows you to get to know your students’ feelings about writing? The writing attitude survey allows your students to express how they feel about writing and the writing process. It’s great to use at the beginning of the school year or the start of the semester.

This survey is similar to the Burke Reading Inventory, but for writing.

The survey is comprised of 15 rating scale questions and 5 short answer questions. The results from this survey allow you to have more information about students so you can have meaningful conversations about writing with them.
