Teaching tips & learning objectives

Learning objectives

  • Produce spoken answers in English to everyday-routine questions (e.g. wake-up time, breakfast habits, evening activities).

  • Practice a range of question types, from simple recall to more open-ended personal-opinion questions, in conversational English.

Teaching tips

  • Pair the board with a die and small game pieces, since the layout runs from a labeled 'Start' to 'Finish' but does not include physical game pieces.

  • Use in small groups so each student gets multiple turns to speak, rather than a single whole-class read-through.

  • Print both included copies if you want two boards running at once for two small groups.

Skills covered

  • Spoken English production — students answer conversational questions aloud about their own daily routines.

  • Question comprehension — students interpret a range of question types (yes/no, open-ended, time-based) before responding.

  • Turn-based speaking practice — the board-game format gives each player a structured turn to produce spoken language.
