Recreate a dinosaur's skeleton by tracing or placing pasta pieces to match its bone shapes, using the completed Stegosaurus outline as a model.
Practice fine-motor placement by positioning individual pasta pieces along the traced outlines of the Apatosaurus, Gigantosaurus, and Plesiosaurus skeletons.
Teaching tips
Complete the pre-traced Stegosaurus outline together as a class before students work independently on the Apatosaurus, Gigantosaurus, and Plesiosaurus skeletons.
Set out a variety of pasta shapes and sizes in advance, since the activity asks students to choose different types for each skeleton.
Skills covered
