Teaching tips & learning objectives
Learning objectives
Move a game piece around a board by rolling a die and advancing the corresponding number of spaces.
Match a landed space to its corresponding picture in the centre of the board.
Build turn-taking and rule-following by playing toward the game's stated win condition of covering every picture.
Teaching tips
Have students play with a partner or independently, since the stated win condition (covering every picture) works for either format.
Use the second board as a repeat round once students finish the first, since both boards use the same roll-and-cover mechanic.
Skills covered
Turn-based board gameplay — students roll a die, move around the track, and cover matching pictures until the board is complete.
Rule-following toward a stated goal — students play to the explicit win condition of covering every picture on the board.
