Translate geometric notation into drawings of segments, rays, angles, and related lines. Pupils also construct examples involving parallel, perpendicular, and intersecting lines. Use one notation prompt to model the drawing conventions before pupils create and label the remaining figures.
Curriculum reference — England: Notation, rays and angle work require more than simple shape naming. Conventional point and line notation is explicit at KS3; this avoids forcing the full notation task into an earlier shape-naming objective. Selected skills only; reference stage is not an overall reading age, complete curriculum coverage, or an automatic recommendation for every learner.
