About this resource

Compare past, present, and future verb forms in a side-by-side chart. Pupils complete a row for each of eight supplied verbs, making the changes in tense visible. Use a short spoken sentence for each form to connect the spelling with when the action happens.

Curriculum reference — England: England Year 2 consistent tense use is a partial connection; review irregular forms before finalizing Ontario label. Selected noun or past/present/future verb recognition supports Grade1 grammar; compound rewriting demands may need teacher support. Direct use of past/present including progressive forms is the exact Year2 grammar connection; no inference from grade tags. Selected skills only; reference stage is not an overall reading age, complete curriculum coverage, or an automatic recommendation for every learner.
