This AGE Word Sorting Activity is a great resource for your students to practice recognizing AGE words and pictures in isolation. This sorting activity includes three different sorts for students to categorize AGE family words in an engaging literacy center. Sorts Included in this Literacy Resource Sort words that are included in the AGE family from words that are not included in the AGE family. Sort pictures that represents words in the AGE family from pictures that represent words not in the AGE family. Sort between real and nonsense AGE words. The teacher can easily differentiate these sorting activities for students who need more or less support to be successful in completing these sorts. Then, the learner is given 12 smaller cards, 6 with different pictures of a dog and 6 with different pictures of a cat. The task is to sort the smaller cards into two piles, one for dogs and the other for cats, based on the animal depicted in the picture.
