The I-Math Program Incremental Word Problems That Help Students Think

The I-Math Program Incremental Word Problems That Help Students Think
, Grade 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Worksheets & Printables, Word Problems, Worksheets

The I-Math Program: Incremental Word Problems That Help Students Think This is an assembly of 68 worksheets designed to bolster mathematical problem-solving skills in students. Each worksheet focuses on a unique math subject, ranging from Algebra Values to Using Math Languages, addressing 19 different concepts within. The 'I' Factor in I-Math The distinguishing 'I' in I-Math refers to the incremental methodology used within these exercises. Originating from simple problems that establish a basic knowledge base, each sheet slowly ascends into more complicated questions spotlighting varied aspects of each concept. Note: This resource does not replace a full math curriculum but supplements standard teaching methods. Variation in Worksheet Lengths Worksheet lengths differ and can range from one page to eight depending on the extent of the principle being studied. Such variability encourages precision as often incorrect answers result more due to misunderstandings rather than inadequate knowledge - fostering carefulness and detail-orientation. I-Math For Teachers The resource provides scalability featuring difficulty levels appropriate for both remedial students and adept learners thereby pushing their learning boundaries further. Tutors have discretion on worksheet assignment based on available time and immediate educational goals. I-Math features fluidity making it applicable across several grade levels (Grades 4 through 8). Covered subjects include: Fractions Calculations (with different denominators) Solving Algebraic Equations Evaluations based on Time & Distance Real-world issue simulations are incorporated such as ‘Raising Money for Charity,’ ‘Factory Production,’ etc. In conclusion The I-Math Program fosters an innovative merge of breadth and depth in classroom instruction. It adheres to students' pace, understanding levels, personalizes tutoring and transforms Math learning into a engaging exercise. Suitability: The resource is perfect for public school teachers or homeschooling educators wishing to incorporate stimulating lessons into their curriculum.

Spring Acrostic Poetry

Spring Acrostic Poetry
ELA, Literature, Poetry, Not Grade Specific, Activities

Acrostic poems are a fun way to practice vocabulary, spelling, using adjectives, and creative writing! These types of poems encourage learners to be picky about the words they choose, and to pay attention to detail. My students greatly enjoyed illustrating the borders of their acrostic poems with their own drawings! These are great for spring bulletin board displays! These acrostic poems with a spring flower border, for example, look wonderful and festive for the spring season! They are a fun way to practice writing, descriptive words (adjectives, nouns, verbs, etc.), and great for all grades and ages! You can make the acrostic poems as advanced or simple as you'd like, depending on the age of your learners and what skills they are learning. I have challenged more advanced learners to use five adjectives, five verbs, and five nouns in their poems, for example. Acrostic poetry is a fun way to teach learners how to choose their words wisely and carefully, as the goal of the poems is to paint a picture in the mind of the reader - without writing out paragraphs and lots of sentences. It is a way to teach the importance of not using too many 'filler' words, and being specific in their writing. This product comes with forty five spring acrostic poetry templates. With each template comes an outline matching the word for learners to color and add their own details to. Learners can also decorate the borders of their poetry with their own illustrations - bringing their words, descriptions, and ideas to life!

Number Recognition Pixel Art - Numbers 0-3

Number Recognition Pixel Art - Numbers 0-3
Math, Early Math, Numbers, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Activities

Are you looking for fun activities for practicing number recognition? These pixel art worksheets are perfect for getting your students to practice number identification for the numbers 0-3! Different options for how to use this resource: Cut and paste You can choose to print the colour square pages on white paper. -This is the simplest option, but it will take a lot of colour ink. Or you can choose to print the black line squares pages on colour paper. -This will use a lot less ink, but it will take a little more work to prepare. -You may struggle to find colour paper in all the colours I have used. If you have a problem finding the right colours, you can generally substitute a different colour if you need to. Simply look at the answer key to see what the pictures are and choose an appropriate substitute colour. Colour by number You will only need to print the worksheets and allow the students to colour the squares themselves. Preparation: Worksheets 3 printing options: 1. Full colour - best if you will be able to use all the same colours that I have used. 2. Partial colour – I have left the colours blank. You will need to tell your students what colours to use for each number before they can start the activity . This is best if you need to make some substitutions because you are printing on colour paper and cannot find all the correct colours. 3. Black and white - like with the partial colour version, you will need to tell your students what colours to use for each number before they can start the activity . Squares Pages If you are using this resource as a cut and paste activity . 2 printing options: 1 .Colour squares pages (Print on white paper. Each page will have information telling you what picture it is meant for. Simply give each student a block with the different colour squares along with their worksheet) 2. Black line squares pages (print on colour paper. Each page will have information telling you which picture it is meant for, as well as the recommended colour paper to use, and how many students will be able to get their squares from one page. Cut on the dotted lines and give each student one section of each colour page for the picture they are working on.) US History Regents Short Essays "Industrialization 4" + Video Lessons
Social Studies, History, History: USA, Grade 11, Teacher Tools, Assessments

US History Regents Short Essays "Industrialization 4" + Video Lessons This product is a short essay task in the format of the new New York State Regents examination in US History and Government. Industrialization in late 19th and early 20th century America was far more than just the accumulation of capital that its defenders envisioned. The radical transformation of society that came as a result of industrialization and urbanization left no one out. Unprecedented problems required important government interventions to protect citizens from predatory corporations, child labor, labor abuses, and worker safety negligence. If you are afraid to assign your students this as a test because they are not likely to do well at first and don’t want to bother their GPA, I recommend using standardized scoring. You can use the z-score calculator here at Innovation Assessments . Use 78 as your standard mean and 14.8 as your standardized standard deviation. Read more about standardized scoring here and where I got those figures. The beauty of this system is you can apply this to their grades every month and as the class improves, as the class average approaches the standardized mean (78 in this case), then the algorithm affects their scores less and less.
