Get students engaged with learning about the letter V with this mini foldable alphabet book. The large images make these books easy for students to color, and the foldable nature of these books product a no prep activity that can easily be assigned to students. What is Included: This resource includes a single foldable book for the letter V. Each book includes a cover page and 3 picture pages all with pictures that begin with V. Each page also includes a sentence that reads like "A is for Apple," making it easy to read for beginning readers. How to Make: Students will color each page of the foldable book. They will then fold the page to make an alphabet book. The student will then read the book to themselves or to another person. When to Use: Independent Practice - Students can be given these mini books to color and work on independently. Homework - This book can be sent home with students so that they can work on beginning reading and letter sounds with their parents. Literacy or Writing Center - Place the page in the center and let students create their own book. Library - The teacher may choose to create this book and add it to the classroom library for students to read during center time. These alphabet books are a no prep option for teachers to give to students to complete. Each book just needs to be printed out and given to students to complete. We've got a game for you! It's a no-prep activity that will allow your students to practice two step equations while having fun. Students will practice with this engaging digital activity using Google Sheets. Students will solve 20 two-step equations. As they correctly answer the questions a mystery picture will be revealed. The mystery picture shows up as pixel art. This makes this resource easier to use because students can self-check their answers as they move along through each problem. If there is no pixel showing, the student needs to go back and figure out the correct answer. This resource is fun, and easy to implement. I used it as a sub-plan in seventh grade and the kids loved it. Your students are sure to enjoy this resource as they will be practicing algebra with this engaging activity! Use these activities for a sub teacher or for your own teaching practice. All activities are ready to copy and go, without lengthy directions. Explanations for students and for you or the sub are incorporated as scripts which headline some but not all worksheets. The only equipment you need is a copy machine; the only supplies your kids need are pencils, crayons, scissors, and glue. Included in this download: Morning and afternoon large group “messages” for students to complete and for the sub teacher to use as “get acquainted” and “end of day wrap up” meetings. Each message should take from 30 to 45 minutes of class time. Reader Response papers for students to write after they have read independently for 30 (or more) minutes. Students will record what they learned about plot, characters, setting, and new words, whether they read a portion of a book or the whole thing. Nonfiction readers will record facts learned. These reader response papers provide the opportunity for small group or large group sharing upon completion. In reading and science, students will read and respond to comprehension passages on natural resources (natural, man-made, renewable and nonrenewable). They will learn and make a poster about the resources humans need for survival. They will read about how resources are processed for use. They will read about the steps from dairy cow to milk in our kitchen and choose their own product to research and write about. They will determine the natural resources in their own state and complete a chart showing how those resources provide employment and/or activities for residents in the state. They will make a travel poster to advertise the natural attributes of their own state. They will explore methods for conserving natural resources by reusing, recycling, or reducing our use. They will think about methods for reducing and reusing food waste in the school cafeteria They will complete whole number computations (adding, subtracting, multiplication) to fill in and color “We Will Protect Our Natural Resources” coloring page. They will put vocabulary words in alphabetical order and generate own sentences. They will play suggested vocabulary games to extend comprehension. Also included in the plans is an activities grid that briefly explains each activity , possible variations of the activity , materials needed, and Common Core Standard Applied
