How to use the CVC Words Comprehension Worksheets From the earliest stages of reading, these reading comprehension worksheets can help children learn to read for meaning. Children should be competent at blending CVC words with a short vowel sound(e.g. cat/dog). Pictures are used to make up for the lack of words, while not encouraging children to guess the words in the text. Steps: First, have the pupils read the short passage of text. This set of worksheets will enable your students practice plotting and reading coordinates in all 4 quadrants of a Cartesian plane where the numbers are positive and negative with a range of different graphic images leading up to points located on an x-y graph simply with letters.
