Modified Spelling Activities | List of 'c' Words This spelling resource helps fourth grade students who struggle with spelling common high frequency words. The set focuses on words starting with the letter C and includes a variety of activities to help students learn through different modalities. Students will build spelling skills through repeated practice with the same set of words. The C words list and activities can be used by small groups, pairs, or individual students for independent work. They can also be used as a homework resource. Teachers may implement them into a language arts curriculum or spelling lesson over the course of a week. The set is targeted towards fourth graders but can also help struggling students in grades 3 through 5, including special education and ELLs. Especially when working with younger learners—or just trying to break away from the usual black-and-white documents—a watercolor-style background can make materials feel calmer, more inviting, and a little more special. This set includes 10 hand-designed watercolor backgrounds , all created by me in Procreate. They’re simple, versatile, and gentle in color, making them easy to combine with your own content—whether you're designing a worksheet, setting up a presentation, or putting together printable materials like task cards or signs.
