Practicing Wonders Words to Know is often a bit of a boring task for most students. That's why we made it a bit more fun. First of all, you can guide students through the book along with the vocabulary list. Here it shows the part of speech, the word, the definition and an example sentence. This way, students don't even need their books anymore to practice all of the words at home. Another fun element is the word search. This word search is based on the definitions, so the student is not given the correct answer right away. This way, they really have to dig into their memories to come up with the correct answer. After all of the practicing is done, it is time to do the test. You can present this by first giving the definition and then to let the student fill out the correct answer. The second part is a fill in the blanks exercise.

The First Multiplication Worksheets is the perfect printable 36-page workbook to introduce Grade 1 children to the somewhat tricky concept of multiplication. This book can either be used as a workbook for a child to work through, or it can be used as discrete worksheets. The worksheets are in sequential order with concepts and skills building upon each other and they are intended to be used as such to provide the child with a secure foundation in math skills. These books can be used alone or alongside another math programme for further practice activities. This book follows our Number Worksheets 0 to 5. Suitable for when: Children are confident at adding and subtracting numbers to 20 and can count, read and write numbers to 100. Objectives To gently lead children into multiplication as repeated adding Outline and steps Children are introduced to repeated adding and counting in 2's, 10's and 5's as a way of doing so quickly. We then progress to changing adding to the ' lots of' form. Then by use of a method I devised to help my pupils, which is explained in the free video to move from that to the use of the multiplication sign. The worksheets then give practice in the 2, 5 and 10 times tables and counting in 2's 5's and 10's with at least four fun activities devoted to each. This book is not just a set of worksheets, it is intended as a maths course and can follow on from our counting 0 to 5 and Counting 6 to 10 workbooks. Whereas textbooks can become outdated in no time, any changes to technology or the world will result in updates to this product. Mixed Questions The mixed questions section of each lesson includes a variation of fivecomprehension, vocabulary and math questions. In addition, key reading strategies are frequently covered including cause & effect, summarizing, compare & contrast and making conclusions. Three of the questions will be MCQs and two will require a written response of some kind. Full answers and example responses appear at the end of the lesson. Spelling & Vocab Each reading passage contains a variety of words and phrases designed for Grade 2-3 students. Spelling and vocab activities provide the opportunity to build fluency with these words. As it can become quite mundane doing the same activities over and over, each lesson in a set will contain a different spelling and vocab activity . Writing Prompts Writing prompts are designed to continue the theme or lessons learned in the story. Students are persuaded to write in a variety of ways and each prompt includes several cues to help. As with the spelling/vocab section, writing prompts will vary. This includes research pieces, reading responses, poetry and creative writing prompts. Full Answer Keys Full answer keys and sample responses are provided so no matter how busy you are, you know you're covered! Mixed question answers provide evidence from the text, math questions contain the relevant workings. Answers are designed for use by the teacher, but also suitable as a handout to the student. Do you want to review verb tenses with your second, third, or fourth graders? This product would be perfect. It's simple, to the point, and won't take up too much class time. It's set up so you can have a quick lesson and review on what a verb is. This product is great for a quick review, or you could use it as a mini assessment . Students will be given 2 pages with charts with a total of 24 verbs. There are sections for past, present, and future tenses. One word is given, and students have to fill in the other two sections. When reviewing verb tenses it's important to remind students that there are specific rules to follow. They also need to know that some are irregular and do not follow any of the rules. This activity will help students practice this skill. You could review with students one page, and then give the second page as an assessment . Practicing proper grammar rules will help students become better writers. This activity is also great to leave with substitutes!
