About This Product

A Holiday Play: Veterans Day Play

This Veterans Day play written for grades 3-5 features a family who watches a Veterans Day parade. The family shares in the celebration of this day and finds out the history behind the special United States holiday celebrated on November 11th each year.

What better way to honor the veterans who served in the military (Navy, Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, and Marines) and those who gave their lives while fighting in a war than putting on a play to teach the students and audience about the significance of this day?

There are 10 speaking parts: two children, parents, an announcer, 2 parade assistants, 3 narrators. An optional chorus and band can be added to accommodate any number of additional students.

A Holiday Play: Veterans Day Play can also be read as a Readers’ Theater.
