This syllable division resource focuses on VC/V syllable patterns and 2-3 syllable magic e words. The sets sequentially introduce syllable types to ensure mastery before advancing. Visual supports foster independence with the syllable division strategy. Supports are removed as students gain competency. Parts of the activities: - New words to divide - Previously learned words for practice - Breaking words before and while reading sentences To generalize the strategy: Have students break words while reading leveled texts, content vocabulary, and worksheets.
