Cover Christmas themed counting images with this set of number sense and subitizing math mats. Preschoolers and kindergartners will get a lot of practice recognizing numbers and counting up to 10. Students will be able to practice counting Christmas themed objects, dice, dominoes, tally marks, and fingers!
What Is Included:
There is one mat for each number one through ten.
How to Use:
Students will count the number of Christmas themed objects on each square of the mat. Students will cover the pictures that contain the same number of objects as the number on the Christmas tree. Students can use mini erasers, bingo chips, pom poms, or other small manipulatives to cover the correct spaces.
Where to Use:
Morning Tubs or Baskets - Teachers can place these mats and manipulatives in a morning bin and students can complete this activity while their classmates arrive to class.
Math Center - Place the manipulatives and mats in a math center for students to complete independently or with a partner.
Small Group Activity - Teachers can pull aside small groups of students who need extra practice with subitizing and number sense activities to work on these mats to target this skill.
