This is a great resource to use with one-on-one counseling, small group counseling, social skills groups, and even whole class lessons. In this product, you will receive a snowman, Rudolph, Santa, Christmas tree, and a gingerbread man. You will also get a take-home handout with 16 coping skills listed for students to share with their parents and keep in their room or kitchen for reference. The 16 strategies listed are read, draw, squeeze a stress ball, take a walk, go on a nature walk, play with a pet or stuffy, take a slow breath, watch a funny t.v. show, bake something, play a game, play a sport, listen to music, talk to someone, be with a friend, ask for a hug, and think of a calm and peaceful place.

This resource is great for pre-k (guided by an adult), kindergarten (guided by an adult), first grade, second grade, and probably even third grade. These are great for having conversations with students about what coping strategies have they tried, what strategies would they be willing to try, and which strategies might not work well for them.
