About This Product

Collaborative Argumentative Essay Task Card Activity

The Collaborative Argumentative Essay Task Card Activity is a dynamic tool designed specifically for middle school educators. This tool simplifies the complex process of creating an argumentative essay and provides students with an interactive, engaging learning experience.

This resource allows teachers to guide their students through the process of dissecting every part of an argumentative essay, whilst simultaneously fostering teamwork and peer-to-peer learning. Students are initiated with getting familiarized with given writing prompts and text selections. Thereafter, breaking into groups of four, each group will receive task cards containing prompts for individual sentences in the essay.

This versatile teaching tool can be utilized not only within classroom settings or small group workshops but also as individual homework assignments or during online classes to facilitate blended learning experiences.

A unique feature: The rotation system. Groups move onto another set from their peers after completion of a set. As all 28 boxes on their answer sheets are filled out - bingo! They have together assembled a comprehensive skeleton essay lined-out with collective responses from each card task.
The activity further includes a detailed organizer/checklist, allowing students to comprehend how paragraphs should be properly structured within their maturing essays before finalizing drafts onto personal notebooks (Note: notebooks not included).
