End of Year Math Project | 5th Grade Tic-Tac-Toe

Fifth Grade End of Year Math Tic-Tac-Toe Project This end of year math project gives fifth graders a fun way to review key concepts before summer break. Students choose three math topics to explore more deeply and write them on a tic-tac-toe board. Once the teacher approves their selections, students can work independently or collaborate in small groups to complete the three mini-projects. Concepts covered include place value, fractions, decimals, measurement, geometry, data analysis, and more. The tic-tac-toe format allows this review activity to be differentiated for various ability levels. Assign it as seatwork or centers at the end of the year when class routines may be more relaxed as everyone looks forward to vacation.
