Faithful and True by Hal Wright and Kim Thompson: piano intro in G with chord symbols, then verse 1 opens in bars 9-11
Opening page: rehearse the piano intro before voices enter
Bars 12-20 of the song: two vocal lines and piano finish the verse, then the chorus begins with 'God, You are faithful'
Choir rehearsal: verse-to-chorus transition
Bars 21-29: 'love You have shown to me, the Son You chose to send' and 'I put my trust in You' with piano chords
Practise the sustained phrase endings in the chorus
Bars 30-39: first and second endings close the chorus, then a bridge sings 'Righteous and holy, faithful and merciful'
Mark the repeat and the 1st/2nd endings with singers
Bars 40-48: the bridge ends on 'things!' over a Dsus chord and the chorus returns with 'I cannot comprehend the love'
Second chorus: compare with the first pass on page 2
Bars 49-57: the repeated chorus continues through 'I put my trust in You, singing praise' to a long held final note
Work on breath support for the long held notes
Bars 58-62: closing tag 'I praise Your name, oh God' for both vocal lines, ending on a G chord in the piano
Final page: rehearse the ending and cutoff
